New Postcards!!!

I am now offering postcards in my Etsy shop. They are basically small prints of my originals just like the 5" x 7" and 8.5" x 11" prints but I am adding postcard features onto the back. They are each 4.25" x 5.5" and have a small boarder around the image. They could be framed as they are archival prints as well. Here are some photos of the first 6 images I have to chose from. I am offering 4 for $13 in my shop right now.

I guess we will see if there is any interest! I picked some of my most popular images to test the waters- ha ha

Here is a new cat piece I made earlier this week. It is bigger then most of the pieces in my shop. The cat is actually colored pencil straight onto the wood and the rest is fabric. The entire piece has been sealed with Polyurethane which really helps tie the different mediums together!

Snow in South CACalacky (SC)

Yup we had a few flakes yesterday...at least enough to take London outside and let him get a little flurry! Also, we hardly every get a good photo of all 3 of us and we finally got a sort of good one (except London is not looking at the camera). There is not a drop of snow on the ground this morning but hey we live in SC- what do you expect!

Here is a custom order I just finished...they are getting married on the beach and I just love the way it turned out! ahhhh LOVE

It's Friday and the Soup comes on tonight!

"Hartwood Farm" Original fabric on wood piece
My cousin commissioned me to make a piece with a barn and rolling hills and a horse. It is for her baby son's nursery (who is like 9 days younger than London). Anyway, she got it today and she love it...which makes me happy. I have never made a horse in my fabric pieces before so I am just glad that it turned out!

"She"- a nude study

I am not sure what I am going to do with this one. I may sell prints but I am wondering if I will have to mark the first page as Mature- I don't want to do that in my Etsy shop- it is a nude but it's art!

Well the Soup is on tonight- I can't wait. I know I'm a sucker.

London is fast asleep - he goes to bed earlier and earlier and I love it! He has been super tired b/c he is getting like 4 molars all at once- poor baby.

Dinner... and of course a cute baby and some art!

Swordfish or Our dinner (looks like it came from a cookbook)

Look at this fabulous dinner we had tonight. We made a Trader Joe's stop today and picked up some Sword fish steaks. We have never made them before but they were most excellent and we will be making them again!!!!

Here is roughly the recipe

2 Swordfish steaks

2 tbsp honey

1/2 stick of butter

1 tbsp Dijon Mustard

3 tbsp. of balsamic vinegar

1 garlic clove

and a dash of oil

Sautee swordfish in the oil and galic while the rest of the ingredients simmer into a little sauce.

Pour sauce over the fish and then top with freshly diced tomatoes and capers!

Waaaala- Dinner and very yummy I might add.

And here is a quick picture of my sweet boy as we is getting his 9th and 10th teeth (and a few more molars are about to break through). = droolie baby
Oh and of course don't let me forget to mention that he is now walking...we have a busy walker on our hands!

Here is a piece that will be in my shop tomorrow- it's my new favorite. I am not sure the name of it yet though so bare with me. :)

And a Happy New Year to you - 6 days old!

"Powder Room"- my first big print SOLD and then Relisted- hee hee

OOh...I have been slacking off so far this New Year on my blogging- goodness. Ok well, I am super excited b/c my Etsy shop has been pretty busy so far this year. This is good for me as we have had a rough couple of months with my husband being laid off and of course Dec. 2007 has been reported as the fewest job opening/hirings in like 4 or 5 years. We are hoping our situation will change soon- *crossing fingers and saying a little prayer at the same time!*

Anyway, enough about all the depressing stuff. I sold my first 8.5 x 11 print today. I am thrilled and now I have like a whole new packaging technique to pick up. We always try to be as "green" as possible at my house so I have cut up diaper boxes as my extra do not bend support in my print package- hope folks are cool with that! :)

London loves his walker!

London has been a terror(of course he is still a little sweetie) lately as he is getting into everything (mommies pen/pencil box)- ha ha He also is cutting his 9th tooth which being the very observant (really we are) parents that we are we noticed just this morning. The tooth is like already in but it is sort of a molar so I think that is why we didn't see it- ooops.

Well, I am off to get the rest of my packages ready for the post office in the morning- oh and finish a piece or two of art tonight! tootles
